Compared to the Fiat's OE 3/4" wide belt, 1" wide belts have increased torque transmission and a lower chance of breaking and failure. When you consider the cost of replacing valves and pistons in your performance engine, this belt is cheap insurance.

Note: In order to use a 1" timing belt you must use unguarded cam pulleys and an aux pulley with the guard on the engine side.
